Sulforaphane not only has a strong anti-cancer activity, but also has a strong antioxidant capacity. It is currently recognized as one of the natural products with anti-cancer, anti-cancer and cosmetic effects. Researchers have studied the anti-cancer and anti-cancer effects of sulforaphane as early as the early 20th century, and found that sulforaphane can inhibit liver cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer, induce Phase II enzymes, activate the production of anti-cancer substances and kill white blood cells. American researchers have shown that sulforaphane helps the lungs clear harmful bacteria in human and mice. Researchers at Johns Hopkins University reported on April 13 that sulforaphane activates a signaling pathway called NRF2. Once this signaling pathway fails to function, human macrophages cannot remove dead cells and foreign bacteria from the lungs, thus preventing the lungs from being clean and causing infection. Macrophages in smokers and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients lost this clearance function. The research was published in the American Journal of Science Translational Medicine on April 13. Researchers have begun a phase II clinical trial in COPD patients to determine whether sulforaphane improves lung function.
